in the planning stages of my latest project, an oral history of smithfield, maine. it will inevitably be more of a reminicences piece than historical investigation. i have decided to donate the final product, which may or may not appear in podcast/little babies form, to the newly-founded smithfield historical society in the hope that someone from or interested in smithfield will find it useful or enjoyable.
my first interview is today, with david hartford and his wife priscilla, parents of dale hartford, my neighbor growing up. i have the luxury of my father's friendships and family legacy... will write more later
